Is Blue Century a PAC, a 527, or something else?
Blue Century is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a non-PAC 527 committee. Not a political party committee, federal PAC or Section 501(c)(4) advocacy group, we are a grassroots political organization not connected with any candidate or candidate's committee.
Why don't you focus more on issues?
Hundreds of advocacy groups already promote every issue under the sun. Voters already know what programs and policies liberals and progressives support. They need to hear what they believe, what ideas, principles and hopes we share in common. Blue Century focuses on those, because the way to voters’ heads is through their hearts, not the other way around. Win their hearts, and their heads – and votes – will follow.
Your ads don't mention any candidate or party. Won't you be encouraging political opponents to vote too?
Fine. We believe in democracy. The more the merrier.
Where can we hear your ads?
Blue Century is based in western North Carolina (NC-11). Our plan for 2008 is to run our ads on stations -- primarily AM talk radio -- that reach as much of our home district as possible. We will post station links as ads go live. If you are not within range, you may also listen to our ads on this site.

At this time, Blue Century does not accept or consider unsolicited recordings, ideas, or suggestions. Unsolicited materials will not be considered by anyone at Blue Century, and if possible they will be returned to you with no copies kept. Unsolicited materials will not be forwarded to or discussed with any third parties. |
